1 frozen pack of açaí fruit
1/2 cup frozen berry blend (strawberries, blueberries, etc.)
1 cup baby spinach
1 cup almond milk
A handful of superfoods of your choice, such as chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, goji berries, bee pollen
Additional (but optional) toppings: granola, fresh fruit, nuts
The key to a smoothie bowl is extra banana; it thickens the consistency, which allows the toppings to stay afloat. When you use a frozen pack of açaí, make sure you break it in a couple of places before you throw it into a blender. Blend all ingredients except for your superfoods until smooth. Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl, decorate with your favorite superfoods and enjoy. Tip: to get a really cold, creamy texture, first peel the bananas and put them in the freezer for about two hours.
